Behind this Gateway Casinos Sudbury guide
Nickel Route is an independent travel guide to Gateway Casinos Sudbury, signed by a team rather than a person, and it is not the casino. This page explains who is behind the writing, what its facts rest on and how the guide gets paid.

About the guide
A shared name on every page
The Nickel Route team signs the guide. No single writer stands behind that shared name, so no page bears an individual byline. Its writing is independent of the casino it covers.
It is not Gateway Casinos, not OLG and not the venue's own website, which sits at sudbury.gatewaycasinos.com. No bets are taken here. Accounts do not exist either, so there is nothing to open, fund or close.
About the guide
Low-poly drawings along the route
Every picture on Nickel Route is a low-poly drawing made by an image model, not a photograph.
On the Bonin Road arrival page, the drawing follows a real photograph of the casino entrance. The black wall crossed by a white diamond lattice is real. So are the low grey canopy on banded posts and the island edged with a yellow kerb. The lake dock with an orange canoe, the picnic table in the pines, the roadside boulder and the glowing crystal are imagined landscapes, not the casino.
About the guide
Where the facts were read
Nickel Route checked its facts on October 5, 2026. Casino details came from the venue's pages as saved by the Internet Archive, since the live site turns automated readers away. Gateway's list of properties and its news release about the live tables supplied the rest. For Ontario rules, the guide turned to OLG, the AGCO, ConnexOntario and iGaming Ontario.
The kilometres given here trace straight lines, joining the casino's map point with a town point in OpenStreetMap. None is a road distance or a drive time. For the road itself, the route buttons open a map. Where the casino leaves something out, holiday hours for example, the guide marks it as unpublished and fills in nothing.

How the guide is paid
Paid links, each tagged Ad, are confined to the home page. They turn up in three places: in the menu, a button; under the opening screen, a strip; near the bottom, a box. All three point readers toward one and the same privately owned online casino business. That firm pays Nickel Route a commission, may be replaced by another, and stands apart from the casino on Bonin Road.
